World Environment Day

World Environment Day is organized by the United Nations around a theme that focuses attention on a particularly pressing environmental concern. This year on June 5th, we are invited to reimagine our relationship with nature. The theme for 2020, “Time for Nature,” recognizes that the foods we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink and the climate that makes our planet habitable all come from nature. Together we can act #ForNature!

For us at TePe to reach our mission, we firmly believe we must focus on long-term sustainable growth. When developing and manufacturing oral health products, we consider the entire product lifecycle. People often think about the product material, but have you considered how it is produced?

Let us take a look at energy consumption during production. The products at TePe are produced with 100% renewable energy sources, including wind, hydro and solar, and plastic waste is recycled from the production process. TePe headquarters is in Malmo, Sweden with a complete solar power plant producing energy for production.

TePe is consistently reviewing its carbon footprint, materials, and methods of production. As you would expect from our Scandinavian heritage, we take our impact on the environment very seriously and only launch new products when they meet their stringent high-quality standards. Find out more on the TePe GOOD initiative that explains how we are using renewable resources by reading our blogs in the coming weeks or by visiting tepeusa.com.
